I get a lot of junk email. Doing the work I do means having a lot of email addresses and these email addresses are exposed to the internet at large and connected to a range of different customer support platforms. My own application, Beacon from Deltastring is a configuration management platform for support systems.

Typically it’s a couple hundred emails a week trying to sell me stuff I’m not looking to buy. The barrier is really low to sending out huge quantities of spam and it’s only going to get worse over the coming months. They are often worth reading though!
